Lemon cake

Ingredients:
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 turkish tea cup yogurt
  • 1 turkish tea cup vegetable oil
  • 1 lemon's zest
  • 1 turkish tea cup milk
  • 2 turkish tea cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup walnut
  • 10g baking powder
  • 5g vanilin sugar
  • 5 turkish tea cups all purpose flour
Beat the eggs with sugar until creamy using a mixer for about 3-4 minutes.Add the vegetable oik, milk, lemon zest, yogurt, and vanilin sugar continue to mix. Toss the flour and baking powder in an another bowl and add into the mixture. Mix until the batter is creamy. Slowly add walnuts  stir using a spoon.Oil the mold then pour the batter into the mold equally using a tablespoon.Place the mold on the middle rack then turn on oven to 350F. Bake for about 35-40 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Wait for 10 minutes, then place the cake on the wire rack to cool it down.

Potato borek

Ingredients:
  • 5 medium sized potatoes
  • 1,5 cup yogurt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 medium sized onion chopped
  • 70ml sunflower oil
  • salt,blackpepper
  • mozarella cheese
Peel the potatoes and boil in water. Then cut them in a small cubes. Pour the oil into a dish and roast the onion. After that let the onion get cold. Next, put yogurt and eggs into another dish and mix. Then add salt and blackpepper. After that put onion and mix. Next, put potatoes,flour and baking soda and mix. Then grease with oil baking dish and put mixture. On the top of mixture put cheese and cook on 350F until the top is coloured.Serve it for breakfast, as a snack with tea or as a side dish for a light meal:)

Round baklava

Ingredients:


 walnut crushed
 1 fillo dough
2 sticks of melted butter

For syrup

2+1/4 cups of sugar
2+1/4 cups of water
1/2 lemon juice


For syrup, combine sugar and water in a pan and let it boil. Then pour lemon juice and let it get cold. Place 2 sheets of phyllo dough on work surface, brush with butter and sprinkle 2 table spoon of walnut. Put 2 more sheets of dough over them and do this in the same way. So you will have 8 layers total and on every 2 sheets you brush with butter and sprinkle walnut.Starting from the edge, roll them up tightly and cut into pieces-1 inch long. Place the rolls on a greased pan and pour half cup of oil on it. Pre heat the oven 350. Bake it for 30 minutes when its color turn to golden brown color. After baked, baklava wait 10 minutes then pour cold syrup.

Potato salad

  • 4 medium sized  potatoes
Dressing:

60 - 70 ml extra virgin olive oil
1 lemon juice
Salt
Pepper

Garnish:

4 fresh green onions, chopped
1/3 red cabbage chopped
some parsley chopped


Peel and boil the potatoes in water.Then cut them in medium sized chunks. Whisk all the dressing ingredients. Toss it with the potatoes while they are still warm. Sprinkle fresh green and red onions all over, serve.

Carrot salad

Ingredients:
1 big carrot grated
1 clove og garlic
3 tbsp yogurt
salt. oil
Roast the carrot about 3-5 minutes. After 10 minutes add garlic, yogurt, and salt and mix.
